When humans and AI meet: Singularity, algorithmic nature and business of the future

Human beings are complex and wonderful beings and in many aspects we respond to an algorithmic nature. Our brain is a sophisticated machine that processes information and generates responses based on a set of internal rules and previous experiences.

When humans and AI meet: Singularity, algorithmic nature and business of the future

Electrical impulses and neurotransmitters, the chemical signals that control our body and brain functions, intertwine in a dance that is strikingly similar to how a computer algorithm processes data.

Like this Just as a computer algorithm takes an input, processes it according to a set of rules, and then produces an output, our brain takes information from the world, processes it according to our prior experiences and knowledge, and produces a response.

In this sense, human beings are incredibly complex and sophisticated systems, capable of learning, adapting and evolving in ways that no machine has yet been able to replicate. However, advances in artificial intelligence are beginning to challenge this frontier.

Artificial intelligence is already there. proving capable of learning and adapting in ways we would have struggled to anticipate. Machines already speak and write in our language (alternating multiple languages, including programming codes), can interpret our emotions (and will do so increasingly, even predicting our future actions), and create art and music that are sometimes difficult to distinguish from those of human beings.

The fact is that for human beings, our emotional intelligence has not advanced on par with our IQ (intelligence quotient) and much less than our technology. Our self-knowledge remains at very low levels, the management of our emotions multiplies conflicts and division and our lack of empathy and reading of others makes it difficult relationships and collaboration. We have difficulties believing in ourselves, self-motivating, being resilient and changing the fear of the new by living in the stoic "obstacle as a path" mode.

The complexity of our machine generates complexity. It multiplies our ability to lie to ourselves and get trapped in fear, our mental models and our defense mechanisms. It hinders our greatest gift and power, that of collaboration.

Exponential technologies advance at an increasing speed, many of them reaching stages of democratization, and we will increasingly define their advancement and development as individuals. The level of damage that we will enhance with these technologies or the level of care and growth depends on us.

The Singularity refers to the hypothetical point in the future where the integration between humans and artificial intelligence will be achieved. so complete that the barriers between technology and biology will blur.

This moment will represent This will be a drastic change, as human cognitive and physical capabilities will be potentially surpassed and expanded by this symbiosis with technology. In this scenario, human enhancement through artificial intelligence and genetic engineering, along with the exponential advancement of autonomous artificial intelligence, could lead to transcendental forms of intelligence and consciousness, surpassing our current capacities for understanding.

Without going too far, I believe that building backwards from that horizon allows us as entrepreneurs to open the door to very powerful developments with a positive impact on society.

For example, I see in developments based on AI and other technologies an enormous possibility ofassisting and developing our emotional intelligence. We are not far from a first emotional intelligence development AI assistant.

As we move into the future, our humble understanding of ourselves (living algorithms?), ability to learn and openness, combined with the incredible capabilities of artificial intelligence to assist us, promises to revolutionize the way we do business and live our lives. lives.
